The year was 1967. Two California artists named Jerry Fells and Curtis Freiler
were still in the early years of their handmade metal sculpture business.
 Artisan House would soon become one of the most successful high quality metal art companies
 in history,esp. with their C. Jere line (a compound nom-de-plume of artists ).

But right then it was still the 60's - The Summer Of Love, Flower Power, Creative Expression.
In this sculpture Curtis Jere paid homage to the era with this intricately designed Hippie Chick.

It's obvious that these guys poured some passion into this design.
The detail, the combination of bronze and welded metal, the large size - this was a special sculpture.
