This is the earliest date we have ever seen for ANY Jere sculpture.
We know that few sculptures were made the first couple years. This would
have to be the first issue of Jere's most endearing enamel sculpture.

Enamel Jere owls were
made in the 60's and early 70's. Artisan House ceased adding enameling
to their sculptures in the early 70's. Enameling was painstaking work
and enameled early Jere's are very special pieces, especially the large
ones.
